Dark Forest Setextension VFX Breakdown Wishlist

This shot was done for the second season of the german web series Wishlist. My part was the concept and compositing in Nuke. I work closely with our 3D Artist Oliver Grothenrat to develop the look of the 3D set extension. Because of tight deadlines we had to render the BG as a still and only the FG in motion. To have max. flexibility in comp the 3D Artist render out 23 different AOVs. In that way I can work on every object, adjust the lighting and match the CG trees with the real plate. For the moving fog I multiply different noises and footage layers with the volume-lightning pass.
